Emily Close, MFT
I’m Emily, a Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy from La Salle University and studied psychology in undergrad at Jacksonville University in Florida. I have several years’ experience working with youth on the autism spectrum and their families, as well as experience with adolescents and their families.
I believe our connections with others can bring such beautiful moments into our lives, and I’m familiar with the deep discomfort that rifts in relationships can create. I believe each individual brings their own backdrop of experiences and those experiences create much of the narrative that becomes most present. I know of the grief, isolation, and anxiety that can accompany times in our lives that lead us to seeking therapy. I’m ready and eager to meet clients, wherever they may be, to process past and current infractions and learn how to best move forward.
Emily is a pre-licensed clinician working towards hours for marriage and family therapy licensure. She is supervised by Lavonda Handy, LMFT
