Exie Adams, MFT
Hi, my name is Exie Adams, a Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies. I also have a B.S in Human Development and a B.A in African American Studies. I have had the privilege of working with diverse individuals, couples, and families in various community mental health settings and contexts. My areas of focus are grief and loss, trauma, interpersonal relationship challenges, depression and anxiety.
I believe in the client centered approach where the therapeutic relationship between myself and my client sets the tone to allow for healing and transformation. It is important for me to work with my clients collaboratively and holistically. I practice cultural humility as a clinician and value co navigating issues of culture and identity with my clients. I believe the process of transformation and healing is just that, a process and I hope to be able to journey with you through it.
Exieis a pre-licensed clinician working towards hours for marriage and family therapy licensure. She is supervised by Lavonda Handy, LMFT
