You are on my page because you are overwhelmed by your thoughts and feelings and are feeling stuck. You recognize the need for change but may not know where or how to start. I work with college-aged individuals and adults who are having difficulties adapting to life transitions, regulating their emotions, feeling depressed or anxious, or feeling overwhelmed by self-talk and troublesome thoughts.
When your thoughts get the better of you, it can lead to discomfort, unhappiness, and dissatisfaction. This mood dysregulation impacts all of us. It can interfere with daily functioning, lead to additional stress, and make you feel sluggish or overloaded. It is easy to get lost in these feelings. Counseling is a tool and space that can help you better manage these changes and reactions. I will help support you in feeling more in control.
My hope is for you to feel safe and seen so we can address your concerns. I believe that counseling is a collaborative space where we can work together to explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors impact you. You can learn how to question and challenge self-talk, we can create more helpful replacement thoughts and focus on other emotion regulation techniques to decrease stress and discomfort. By creating an inviting and trusting space, I am hopeful for healing and growth so you can implement more positive and helpful patterns to feel unstuck.
